Through local partnerships, the Washington State Housing Finance Commission helps homebuyers learn how to purchase and maintain a
home.  Commission-sponsored homebuyer education seminars are the
first step in purchasing a home.  They are free and open to the public.

      Classes include information about the Commission's first mortgage programs, down payment assistance, and other loan programs (programs
for disability); and are accepted by all affordable housing loan programs
​as meeting or exceeding educational requirements.

 1.  Saturday April 26, 2025.  10 - 3:30.  Need to pre-register.  Capacity 16 people.  Lunch on your own in  12:30-1:00.  Please arrive 10 minutes early for
 additional check-in and getting settled and begin class right on time.  Snacks/coffee and tea provided at start of class.  
2.  More dates to be scheduled Spring and Summer 2025.

  • Class and materials are free.  Bring a notebook or laptop for notes if you would like.
  • Come with questions and the mindset to participate - makes the class more interesting for everyone.  (Not required if you are more reserved!)
  • Coffee shop Woods), bakery and deli at Haggen, juice bar located nearby for the half hour break.
  • Reservations are required, space is limited to 16.  Classroom seating with desks. Please notify if cancellation needs to happen - we may have a waiting list.
  • Allow 10-15 minutes early arrival, if possible, prior to class for check-in, getting situated with coffee/tea and then we start right on time.
  • Loan information, realtor and lender speaking with guests with title/escrow, home inspection and homeowner insurance concerns.
  • Drawings for home-related prizes.....
